Check compatibility before ordering. Choose by your bracelet’s chain width, not its length or your wrist size. This extender fits the matching Cycolinks stainless steel bike-chain clasp construction in 7mm, 10mm or 16mm.

It does not fit sterling silver bracelets, wider Monster or Beast models, bracelets over 16mm wide, or leather and rope/paracord styles. If the material or clasp looks different, ask us before buying.

Choose the right extension clasp

1. Check the material. Your bracelet must be stainless steel with the matching bike-chain clasp.

2. Match the width. Check your original product details or measure across the chain links. A 19cm bracelet, for example, could still need a 7mm, 10mm or 16mm clasp depending on its chain width.

3. Choose the finish. Silver, Black or Gold. For a two-tone bracelet, match the existing clasp finish. No matching rainbow or other special finish is offered here; ask us about fit before choosing a contrasting colour.

Too short or too long? Start here.

Your bracelet is too short

Add this matching extension if approximately 1.5cm more length will give you the room you need. A 19cm bracelet becomes approximately 20.5cm with one extender; the added length is not the same as a wrist-size recommendation.

If you need more than one extender’s length, ask us for sizing advice before ordering or stacking parts.

Your bracelet is too long

An extension adds length; it cannot make a bracelet smaller. For compatible stainless steel bike-chain bracelets, use our how to remove bike-chain bracelet links guide and the video below.

If you are replacing a lost or damaged link pin, choose the matching replacement pin kit. A pin kit repairs a connection; it does not add bracelet length.

How to add the extension clasp

The fitting video demonstrates the 10mm stainless steel version. Always compare the clasp construction with your own bracelet before fitting.

Open the video on YouTube. If the player is unavailable, use the written guidance below.

  1. Open the bracelet’s existing clasp. Work over a soft cloth so the metal is protected.
  2. Connect the matching extension at the clasp end. It sits between the bracelet end and the original clasp, as shown in the video.
  3. Close both connections fully. The parts should align without force. If they do not, stop and check the size and construction.
  4. Check before wearing. Gently check that the connections are secure and that the bracelet fits comfortably.

You do not need to remove chain pins to install this clasp. To return to the original length, open the clasp and remove the extension.

How to shorten a bike chain bracelet

Use this separate link-removal video if your stainless steel bike-chain bracelet is too loose. It demonstrates a 10mm bracelet; follow the written guide for the full preparation and safety notes.

Read the complete link-removal guide before starting. Work slowly with good lighting, protect the bracelet and keep the small pins and spacers safe. Follow the demonstrated pull-out pin technique; do not force a resistant pin or push it through the bracelet.

Do not use this stainless steel procedure on sterling silver bracelets. If the link construction is different, the bracelet has decorative links, or you are unsure, ask Cycolinks for help or use a professional jeweller.

Which size clasp do I need?

Match the bracelet’s chain width: 7mm, 10mm or 16mm. Do not choose by its total length or your wrist measurement. Check the original product listing, the size guides linked above and the dimension photo. If unsure, send your order number or a clear clasp photo to info@cycolinks.com.

How much extra length does it add?

One extension adds approximately 1.5cm (0.6in). For example, a compatible 21cm bracelet becomes approximately 22.5cm. Check the finished length against your preferred fit before ordering.

Will it fit my sterling silver or wider bracelet?

No. Sterling silver uses a different clasp construction. This extender is also unsuitable for Monster, Beast and other bike-chain bracelets wider than 16mm. Matching the colour alone is not enough to establish compatibility.

Will it fit a 10mm bike-chain watch?

The matching 10mm stainless steel bike-chain watch clasp is supported. Choose the 10mm version and check the finish and clasp construction. This is not a universal watch-bracelet extender.

Do I need tools, or can I remove it later?

No tools are needed for fitting this extension to the compatible existing clasp. It is removable: take it out to return to the original bracelet length. Check that both connections are fully closed before wearing.

What if my bracelet is too long?

Use link removal rather than an extension. Watch the shortening video above and read our bike chain bracelet adjustment guide. If a pin is missing or damaged, the replacement pin kit is a separate repair part.

What if I need a different finish or am unsure about fit?

The finishes offered here are Silver, Black and Gold. For other finishes or an unfamiliar clasp, contact Cycolinks with your bracelet model, order number or a clear photo before ordering. We can help check the correct part rather than guessing.

I purchased this along with a large black metal bracelet to fit obviously a large wrist. I'd been having problems finding a chain bracelet big enough and with having the option of purchasing the expansion or extension clip I was able to make it big enough that when he throttles it doesn't cut into him or open. A great addition to make these chain bracelets possible!
